Bell Square Calling is a new annual festival dedicated to showcasing exceptional outdoor artists from a single country or region and creating opportunities for international artistic exchange.

CIE XUAN LE (Marseille) – Reflet (Reflection)
Reflet is a hybrid and multidisciplinary performance mixing contemporary dance, hip hop and roller skating. Two dancers blur the line between reality and reflection in a mesmerising hip-hop duet where every movement asks who is leading, who is following, and which version of ourselves is real.
Floating on his inline skates, Xuan Le, freestyle slalom champion, take us into a flow of intense and meditative energy, questioning our origins and the relationship that we intertwined through the movement.
The journey continues with artist Shihya Peng in a poetic duo that explores the diversity of humans, by confronting two vulnerable bodies.
While searching for balance and inner exploration, the audience is invited to the heart of an initiatory and emotional journey where the tangible interacts with the immaterial.
Through sinuous sharing and subtle gestures, the two dancers reflect the encounter with the other, but also a face to face with oneself.
About Cie Xuan Le
The Company was founded in July 2016 to create the solo in Paris, Buckle, the first part of a triptych on the theme of ‘We’. The second part is born in 2018 with the duo Reflect. These two pieces are performed in France and internationally (Italy, Poland, Vietnam). In 2022, the company decided to work on a recreation of the dance piece, Reflect, associating the choreographer and performer Shihya PENG with this project. The company also regularly collaborates with other partners for specific events (Kubilai Khan investigations, Cité des Sciences, Maison de la radio, Fête de la musique in Geneva).
