Hello Hounslow, Let's Fill the Square
Hello Hounslow! I am the artistic director at Bell Square, and I am thrilled to share what we have coming up for the rest of the season. Bell Square is our purpose-built outdoor performance space in the heart of Hounslow, and it exists for one simple reason: to bring world-class performances to everyone, for free. From circus to dance, theatre to music, there is something for the whole community to enjoy, and I want every one of you to know what is heading our way.
We are building on everything that makes Bell Square so special. We have international artists, family favourites and some brand new surprises. Every performance is free, and every act is chosen with our local community in mind. S, bring the family, bring your friends, or simply wander over from the town centre and see what is happening in the square. There is always room for one more person at Bell Square.
A Space Built for Everyone
Bell Square is London's only purpose-built outdoor performance space, sitting right in the middle of Hounslow and surrounded by the life of the town centre. We say it is a place for anyone aged 3 to 103, and we mean every word. The open design of the square means everyone can find a comfortable spot. Arrive early for a view right at the front, or settle in at the back with little ones.
The programme is produced by Watermans, a local arts charity, and every event is carefully curated to bring some of the best outdoor performers in the world to our corner of West London. Performances run every other Saturday from May to December, so the calendar always has something to look forward to. And because every event is free, you can take a chance on something new without a second thought.
Bell Square celebrated its tenth birthday in 2024, and that milestone made us all the more proud of what this space means to Hounslow. Over a decade, the square has welcomed audiences of all ages and backgrounds, and the joy of watching live performance in the open air never gets old.
Summer of Culture Lights Up the Borough
Bell Square has once again been part of Hounslow's Summer of Culture, the borough-wide festival presented with Hounslow Council. Summer of Culture is now in its fourth year, and it has grown into something truly remarkable for our community. Last year more than 160,000 people attended 120 events across more than 50 locations in the borough. That is a huge amount of shared joy, and Bell Square is proud to play a central part in it.
If you were with us when the Summer of Culture launched in 2024, you will remember the incredible Pyrodise by the Firebirds circus group, as fire and movement filled the square. That is the energy we want to continue to recreate every season. The square comes alive with world-class dance, theatre, circus and art, and the best part is that everyone is welcome to join in for free.

Teatr Biuro Podróży's Eurydyka (Euridice) | 5 September, 8pm
One of the highlights of the season is Teatr Biuro Podróży's Eurydyka, a production that Eurydyka recounts the fate of the two timeless heroes: Orpheus and Eurydice. Their love is stronger than death. Unable to come to terms with the loss of his beloved, Orpheus sets out to find her.
ACE Dance and Music - Echoes of Dust, 19 September, 3.30pm & 7.30pm
I am especially pleased to welcome audiences to this one, because Watermans has commissioned ACE Dance & Music to produce a new outdoor version of ECHOES OF DUST for Bell Square. ‘ECHOES OF DUST’ – a vision ofthe world as we see it... choreographed by Serge Aimé Coulibaly, with creative contributions by Sigué Sayouba. Human life is fleeting, the world is still unfolding…Redefining dance from the African Diaspora, ACE dance and music present a powerful vision of our world today.

A new annual outdoor arts festival that spotlights the best companies and artists from France with a programme including circus, dance and music: bold contemporary dance from Cie Point.Bart with Fièvre; the challenge of creating a locally relevant choreographed work in a day from Sauf le Dimanche withAssemblée; stunning contemporary acrobaticsfrom La Triochka withTop Down; an exciting hybrid of contemporary dance, hip hop, and the visual arts from Cie Xuan Le withReflet and music with a visual twist from dynamic genius accordionists, Cie Les Rustines de l'Ange withCoraSon.
Sadiq Ali Company - Tell Me, Sat 10 October, 3pm
A powerfulcontemporary circus and dance show performed on three scaffold tubes and combining Chinese Pole with aerial work, Tell Me follows a woman navigating her HIV diagnosis, her hopes, her dreams, her fears and ultimately her reality - living with the virus in 2026. A highly physical performance, Tell Me draws on the lived experience of director Sadiq Ali as both a circus artist and HIV activist, creating intimate yet visually spectacular performances. A Season for the Whole Community
What I love most about Bell Square is the mix of people it brings together. On any given Saturday you will find families with children, groups of friends, older residents enjoying a day out, and curious passers-by who have just discovered the show. That is the heart of what we do at Watermans. We believe high-quality arts should be part of everyday life, and that nobody should be excluded because of cost or circumstance.
Our programme is deliberately varied, so there is always something different to try. Dance, circus, theatre and music all take their turn in the square, and the artists come from both the UK and around the world. That mix keeps the programme fresh and gives Hounslow audiences the chance to see performances they would not find anywhere else in London. It is a place where neighbours bump into each other, where children see something extraordinary, and where Hounslow shows itself at its very best.

Bell Square is easy to reach in the heart of Hounslow town centre, so you can build your visit around shopping, a coffee or a meal nearby. All performances take place outdoors, so dress for the weather and arrive with time to find a good spot. There is no charge to watch any of our performances, and the full schedule with dates and times is always available on the what's on page before you head over.
Some people stay for the whole show, while others dip in and out. Both are welcome. The relaxed, informal atmosphere of the square means you can enjoy world-class performance at your own pace, surrounded by the community that makes Hounslow such a special place.
